Holcombe rolls to pair of Top-5 finishes with Modified Mafia Tour at Winchester
After a few weeks off from UMP Modified competition, Austin Holcombe followed the Modified Mafia Tour to Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Va.) for a doubleheader weekend at the track.
With 17 Modifieds signed in, Austin qualified third-quickest and survived an interesting 30-lap main event to finish just off the podium in fourth.
For Saturday's $2,500-to-win finale, Holcombe missed the setup in qualifying but made up for it in his heat race with a runner-up finish. In the A-Main, Austin started 10th and charged through the field to land a podium outing in third.
