Austin Holcombe tops 602 Modified field at Fayetteville Motor Speedway

Taking advantage of an off weekend from UMP competition, Austin Holcombe made the short trip to Fayetteville Motor Speedway (Fayetteville, N.C.) on Saturday afternoon to compete in the 602 Modified portion of the Wayne Gray Sr. Memorial event.

With 14 entries signed in, Austin qualified fifth-quickest before finishing runner-up in his heat race. Rolling off from the second row in the 15-lap feature, Holcombe quickly took the lead on lap 2 and led the rest of the way to collect the $800 payday. He topped Donovan Jackson, Dustin Watkins, Mack Coxe, and Mike Beasley at the checkered flag.
